Linkside is a small game built and maintained by one person. This is
what has changed since it launched, newest first.

Every theme got its own detail
Fixed the rainbow. It was being drawn off the bottom of the screen and
had never once been visible, on any device - so the "After the Rain" achievement could unlock
for something you couldn't see. It now arches properly over the course.
Haunted Links gained ghosts that drift through every minute or so, and
flickering jack-o-lanterns among the dead trees.
Mushroom Hollow was a bit plain - now there are four different mushroom
species scattered through the forest, fairy rings in the long grass, and the occasional cap
that glows.
Aurora Night's lights now fade softly at their edges instead of cutting
off, and they reflect in the water.
Every other theme got one detail of its own: mowing stripes on Fairway,
wind gusts in Autumn, animal tracks wandering the snow,
koi instead of ducks under the cherry blossom - and they swim laps of the
pond rather than sitting in one spot - long low-sun shadows at Twilight, a
tumbleweed in the Desert, surf foam around the Tropical
Coast shoreline, a stag on the Highland ridge, raked zen
gravel in the Bamboo Garden bunkers, moonlight on the water in
Moonlit Round, dew beading the whole course in Morning Mist, a
herd of giraffes and elephants out on the Savanna, and bubbling
lava on Volcanic Ridge.

Six new course themes
Haunted Links - a Halloween course that only appears between 25 October
and 2 November, and is guaranteed on the 31st. Dead trees, graveyard fog, bats.
Mushroom Hollow - deep mossy green with oversized red-cap mushrooms in
place of trees, and spores drifting up through the frame.
Volcanic Ridge - the water hazards are lava. Black basalt rough, pale
pumice bunkers, obsidian shards and rising embers.
Morning Mist - a soft, quiet dawn course with fog banks rolling across
the board.
Savanna Safari - dry golden grass, flat-topped acacias and a teal
watering hole. The hidden fox is a bat-eared fox here.
Aurora Night - green and violet curtains drifting over a dark winter
course. Rare year-round, and much more likely in December.
Rebalanced how often every theme appears, so a course that isn't the standard Fairway
look now turns up on roughly two days in three.

Streak calendar & reliability
Added the Streak Calendar - a month view of your Daily Challenge history
showing which days you played, how you scored, and where the gaps are.
Fixed a start-up failure on browsers with storage fully blocked. Some privacy settings
cause an error on any attempt to read local storage, which could leave the game on a
blank screen instead of loading. Storage access is now handled safely throughout.
Fixed a scorecard bug where finishing a round could show a broken total and a missing hole.
A double-tap during the hole-complete animation could advance two holes at once; the animation
now ignores stray taps, and the scorecard can no longer be broken by a missing hole.
Added a PAR readout to the top bar, between the hole number and your
strokes.
Made shot cancelling visible. Dragging back to the ball has always
cancelled a shot - now it shows a red ring and an X, tells you what will happen, and confirms
that your roll has been kept.
Added an aim readout at the top of the course showing direction, real
distance and whether the shot is legal - useful when your finger is covering the ball, and
especially in putt mode.

Interface overhaul & coin retuning
A full pass over every screen - title, menu, heads-up display, action bar, coach marks,
hole-complete card, scorecard, share sheet, shop and stats - tightening clarity and
consistency throughout.
Achievement notifications now queue sensibly instead of stacking up, collapsing into a
single summary card when several unlock at once.
Rebalanced the Coin economy after comparing real earn rates against shop prices.

Launch 1.0
Linkside went live.
Cosmetics shop - 25 hand-made ball skins and flag designs, bought with
Coins earned through play.
Achievements and streak milestones.
Celebrations tiered to how well you played the hole, plus an animated
scorecard reveal at the end of a round.
Wildlife and weather moments, including a rainbow when the rain clears.
A frameless, full-screen course and an install-to-home-screen hint, so the game fills the
phone properly.

First playable course
The core game: an 8-direction grid, dice for distance, terrain effects, tree and water
rules, slope chaining, and par-6 scoring.
Drag-to-aim, replacing an earlier design that showed all eight options at
once - one moving line proved far more tactile.
Procedurally generated holes built as forest corridors and doglegs, every
one verified solvable before you see it.
Variable putting and Tap In, fixing the frustration of overshooting the
cup from two tiles away.
9- and 18-hole rounds with a difficulty curve, and a capped Mulligan
allowance so scores stay comparable.
Daily Challenge, shareable scorecard and stats.
Seasonal themes that change the look of the course with the calendar.
