Once a day, everybody plays the same golf course. The Daily Challenge is a 9-hole round whose layout is derived from the calendar date, so the holes you play today are the holes everyone else is playing today. It resets at midnight in your local time.
This is the part that makes the daily feel like golf rather than a maths problem. The course layout is fixed for the day - but the dice are not. Your rolls are genuinely random and yours alone.
Two people playing today's daily face exactly the same trees, bunkers, water and slopes, but each plays them with their own rolls - much like two people playing the same paper hole with their own die. Luck is part of the game, so the daily is a shared puzzle rather than a solved one. It also means a good score is worth something: you played the same course, and you handled your own roll of the dice.
The daily uses a fixed Mulligan allotment for everyone, and Mulligans cannot be earned during it - so nobody starts the day with an advantage.
The Streak Calendar in the menu shows the month at a glance: which days you played, how you scored on each, and where the gaps are. Days you have played are filled in and linked together, today is outlined, and future days stay dimmed.
Once you have finished today's round, the Daily Challenge button on the title screen shows a check mark and your score, so you always know whether today is already in the bag.
Finishing the daily gives you a scorecard with a Share button. It produces a short, spoiler-free summary - the daily's number, your total against par, and a grid of one square per hole:
The squares say how the round went without giving away the holes, so you can post a result without spoiling the course for anyone who has not played yet. Share opens your device's normal share sheet where one is available and otherwise copies to the clipboard - and the text is always shown on screen so you can copy it by hand.
The Stats screen in the menu keeps the long view: rounds played, your best 9-hole and 18-hole scores, your current and best daily streaks, how many foxes you have found, and your Coin balance. Everything is stored locally on your own device - see the Privacy Policy for the details.
