Linkside (“the Game,” “we,” “us”) is a free, browser-based golf puzzle game available at linkside.app. This policy explains what information the Game handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the Game you agree to this policy.
The Game saves your progress on your own device using your browser’s
localStorage: game stats (rounds played, best scores, streaks, achievements), in-game
“Coins” and owned cosmetic items, daily-challenge results, and settings (sound, motion,
contrast). You can erase device data at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for
linkside.app.
To back up progress and power social features, Linkside uses accounts hosted on Supabase:
Data stored against your account may include: a progress backup (coins, stats, streaks, cosmetics), your chosen display name (shown on leaderboards), validated daily-challenge scores and the moves that produced them, league memberships, your time zone and reminder hour (if you enable reminders), and web-push subscription tokens for your devices.
Deleting your data: open Menu → Account → Delete account & data in the Game. This permanently removes your account and everything tied to it from our servers, and clears this device. You can also email us (below) to request deletion.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (e.g. number of visits and page views). It is privacy-friendly, does not use cookies to track you across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation.
Linkside uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message (a Google-certified Consent Management Platform) before personalized ads are served. You may grant, refuse, or manage your choices there, and you can change your selection at any time.
Aside from the advertising cookies described above (which are subject to your consent where required), the
Game itself does not set tracking cookies. Browser localStorage used to save your progress is not a
cookie; progress data is transmitted to our servers only as described under “Accounts” above.
Linkside is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.
Depending on your location (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to opt out of personalized advertising. You can delete your account and all server-side data yourself at any time via Menu → Account → Delete account & data in the Game (and clear device data by clearing browser site data). You can manage ad personalization via the links above or the consent message.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
